George is the Managing Director and founder of Control Planning.
George has more than 35 years of experience in urban and regional planning, with an extensive background in managing statutory and strategic planning functions across local and state government in Victoria, the private sector, and as a community advocate.
Throughout his career, George has been responsible for leading, managing, assessing and determining some of Victoria's largest and most complex development projects.
George is a qualified Town Planner and Mediator, a Sessional Panel Member for Planning Panels Victoria and a member of the Victorian Planning Authority Projects Standing Advisory Committee, bringing a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership and dispute resolution skills.
George provides Control Planning a unique edge in the industry, through his extensive experience leading statutory and strategic planning departments across Victoria, including at the Cities of Port Phillip, Moonee Valley and Melton, and the Shire of Moyne, combined with private sector experience.
George understands how councils operate, their internal processes, and what is required to facilitate timely decision-making, consistently delivering successful outcomes for our clients.
George has a demonstrated ability to build consensus, navigate complex planning issues and achieve balanced, successful outcomes for his clients.
